(Rock Hill, SC) — The Mayoros Agency, a full-service advertising, design and marketing firm, has won a prestigious 2010 American Graphic Design Award.  The design for the “2009 PSC Dispatcher’s Desk Reference” — a directory publication for PSC’s tanker truck and container cleaning services — won in the “Publication in Print and Online” category.  The Mayoros Agency designed a convenient flip book allowing drivers to easily identify the nearest of PSC’s 22 operations centers, determine what services are available at each location, and get directions, hours and contact information for that location.  “We have received enthusiastic feedback from our clients on the format and convenience of the design, which is the true measure of the success of the project,” said PSC’s Greg Winters.

The Mayoros Agency’s design competed with more than 8,000 entries from advertising and design agencies and Fortune 500 companies’ in-house creative groups from across the United States.  The winning design was selected as one of the top 15 percent of entries across multiple categories.  “We are honored to receive a national award of this caliber,” said Heather Mayoros, Creative Director and President of The Mayoros Agency.  “When we work on a project, our focus is always on producing the most effective work for our client. When the project is successful for the client, we know it will be successful elsewhere. It’s nice to recognized for that on such a competitive and elite scale. We are both humbled and honored.”

“We at PSC are honored to have played a small part in this national award, but it truly was the creativity of The Mayoros Agency and their ability to successfully challenge the status quo that set the bar for their contemporaries to follow,” said Winters.
